Hand Baggage Allowance of Qatar Airways:
- First Class Passengers can bring 2 pieces of bags not exceeding 33lb.
- Business Class Passengers are allowed to bring 2 pieces of bags not exceeding 33lb.
- Economy Class Passengers are allowed to bring 1 piece of the bag not exceeding 15lb.
Cabin baggage can have maximum dimensions up to 50x37x25cm for each class.
For the baggage over the mentioned dimension and weight passengers have to pay the additional charges for it depending on the weight and size.
Also, the laptop bags are considered part of the hand luggage allowance and are not personal items.

Traveling With Infants to/from USA:
If you are traveling with an infant, one piece of baggage is allowed to carry. The weight should not exceed 23kg and a maximum dimension of 115cm. Also, you can bring a stroller or a pushchair free of cost.

If you find your baggage damaged, you should report it at the arrival terminal. At airports, there are baggage desks where passengers can ask or complaint about their lost/ damaged baggage.

 Security check for personal electronic devices (UK and USA)
Passengers of UK and USA-bound Qatar Airways flights departing or transiting from Hamad International Airport with personal electronic devices must follow to the following instructions.
UK-bound flights
- The passenger will be asked by security staff to turn on personal electronic devices that are larger than a mobile phone. It includes tablets, e-books, and laptops during the security screening conducted at the boarding gate.
- Passengers also have to ensure that their electronic devices have sufficient power to be switched on to demonstrate its functionality. You also need to make sure that there is no deplete power in your devices as charging points at the airport might be limited and you may require an adapter.
- If the passenger will have any devices without any power then it will be placed in a secure location on the aircraft which cannot be accessed. The airline will return this to the final destination.
- If you have already secured more than six personal electronic devices, then you will have to check-in your device into your hand baggage. This hand baggage will be stored in the aircraft hold.
- In case you are not able to check-in your hand baggage with the device or you don’t have hand baggage, then your item will need to be deposited with the Lost and Found section on the airport. In this case, you are required to claim the airline website. You can collect this item from the airport on your return.Â
USA-bound flights
- All personal electronic devices carried on board all USA-bound flights from Doha, are subject to enhanced security screening, with immediate effect.
- Passengers also need to ensure that their electronic devices have sufficient power to be switched on to demonstrate its functionality. Besides that, you need to make sure that you do not deplete power in your devices. The reason is that the charging points at the airport might be limited and you may require an adapter.
- Pack all personal electronic devices that you do not need to use in-flight into your check-in baggage.
- Examples of personal electronic devices that are subject to enhanced security screening include: DSLR camera, Radio, E-reader, Walkie-talkie, Laptop, Tablet, Water purifier, large game console, Monitor, CD-ROM, Drone, Electric guitar, Printer and scanner
Not Permitted Items in hand baggage:
- Firearms including pistols, revolvers, and rifles.
- Replicas and imitation firearms and toy guns.
- Compressed air and CO2 guns, including pistols
- Gases and sprays, such as mace, pepper spray, tear gas, and acid sprays.
- Razor blades, box cutters, and knives.
- Smoke generating canisters or cartridges- Dynamite, gunpowder and plastic explosives.
Not Permitted in Checked Baggage:
Wet cell batteries, insecticides, weed killers, arsenic and cyanides, radioactive material, fireworks, flares, fuels, and paints.
