Hawaiian Airlines Celebration of 10 Years at Oakland International Airport

New Hawaiian Airlines CEO, Peter Ingram was welcomed at Oakland International Airport (OAK), at the Airport. The Airline also celebrated 10 years of partnership. The airline inaugurated service between Oakland and Honolulu in 2008, May 1.

Mr. Ingram is in Oakland to celebrate the occasion and to high point the airline’s newest addition of Airbus 321neo to its fleet. Hawaiian put  this new aircraft type on its Oakland-Kahului, Maui route and into revenue service in January 2018., Today’s celebration features live Hawaiian-themed performances, music, and refreshments in the true aloha spirit

Port of Oakland Director of Aviation Bryant L. Francis said: “Hawaiian has been a tremendous partner at OAK for the past ten years, and we are delighted to share in the celebration of this significant milestone,” said. “We’re proud to have served as the launch Mainland U.S. airport for Hawaiian’s new A321neo aircraft, and look forward to many more years of this truly successful partnership.”

Peter Ingram, President and CEO of Hawaiian Airlines said: “We look forward to sharing our Hawaiian hospitality with an even greater number of Oakland travelers in the next decade and beyond as we introduce more flights to our islands, including non-stop service to Kauai beginning this summer”.

The growth of Hawaiian at OAK by 2014 led to nonstop service to each of the four main Hawaiian Islands. The airline on over 6,000 departures has already carried more than 1.5 million passengers from OAK.
