Negative COVID Test Report Required for All Travelers to the U.S
“Requirement for Negative Pre-Departure COVID-19 Test Result or Documentation of Recovery from COVID-19 for all Airline or Other Aircraft Passengers Arriving into the United States from Any Foreign Country.” According to the order that was first amended on October 25, 2021, passengers aged two years and older traveling from a foreign country to the United States were required to show a negative covid-19 report or a documentation of recovery before boarding their flight.
According to the recent updates on the developments taking place, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) within the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) has repealed the aforementioned order and it will no longer be in effect from 12:01 AM ET, June 12, 2022.
The Center for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), on December 6, 2021, again amended the order dated October 25, 2021, “Requirement for Proof of Negative COVID-19 Test or Recovery from COVID-19 for All Air Passengers Arriving in the United States.” As per the amendment changes in the requirements of the covid-19 negative report or documentation of recovery for passengers boarding flights from foreign countries to the United States were updated.
The order took effect after 12:01am EST (5:01am GMT) on December 6, 2021 which was then published in the Federal Register of the United States of America.
