New flights are introduced by Air India on the Mumbai-Bengaluru route. This brings the total number of flights between Mumbai and Bengaluru to four. On August 20, 2022, the airline announced 24 new domestic flights, including the new BOM-BLR flights. Among other cities, these additional flights will be deployed along routes between Mumbai, Bengaluru, Delhi, and Chennai.
Following is the statement Air India shared on Twitter – Mumbai and Bengaluru are getting a new flight between them effective 20th August. The number of flights has increased to four.The choice is wider, the comfort is greater, and the convenience is greater.
The airline has announced the launch of 24 additional flights
As well as Delhi to Mumbai, Bengaluru, and Ahmedabad, Air India has added two new frequencies from Mumbai to Chennai and Hyderabad. In addition, one new frequency has been added to the Mumbai-Bengaluru and Ahmedabad-Pune routes.
The following announcement was made by Air India: “The additional 24 flights include two new frequencies from Delhi to Mumbai, Bengaluru, and Ahmedabad, and Mumbai to Chennai and Hyderabad, as well as one new frequency on the Mumbai-Bengaluru route and Ahmedabad-Pune route.”
The Aircraft Of Air India Will Be Delivered By 2023
There are 70 narrow-body aircraft in Air India’s fleet, 54 of which are currently in service. By 2023, the remaining 16 aircraft will also be able to return to service.
Managing director and CEO of Air India, Campbell Wilson said –
As a result of this expansion, Air India’s network connectivity between major metros will increase as well as its domestic and international connectivity will improve. In the past six months, Air India has been working closely with our partners to bring aircraft back into service, and we are delighted that our efforts are bearing fruit.
In addition, the airline is expected to purchase more than 200 new planes, with 70% being narrow-bodied aircraft.
