Etihad Airways operates many airlines to worldwide destinations. Passengers have lot of airline choice to travel so they book a flight which seems more comfortable for them. All airlines have different facilities, service, seating, and in-flight food items to experience. Also, one must know about the airlines baggage policies and prohibited items before you fly with them. Otherwise you may end up with paying high fines to violate the airline guidelines.
Here we are with the baggage allowance by the Etihad Airlines which you must know before you fly.
Cabin Baggage Allowance: A small carry-on bag and a personal item are allowed to carry onboard which comes under cabin baggage allowance.
Etihad allows you to check baggage policy online. It basically depends on the place of leaving and the final destination.

Baggage Policy for Infants of 7 days – 23 months
If you’re travelling with an infant to or from the US and Canada, then you are permitted to take one bag weighing up to 23kg. Besides these routes all other routes, infants are allowed to take one bag weighing up to 10kg.
Children 2 – 11 years
If you are flying with a child is with a seat booked on a children’s fare, normal baggage rules will apply. You can use our baggage calculator to understand how much you can carry.
Pushchairs, carrycots and car seats
Travellers with infants and children, can also carry one pushchair, or one carrycot or one car seat for free, in addition to their checked baggage.

For US Flights, Cabin and Checked Baggage Special Instructions:
- Electronic devices and their accessories must be charged so that you can switch on the device for checking.
- Electronic devices such as loose/ spare batteries, power banks, e-cigarettes, vape must be placed into your cabin-baggage or in your pocket or purse. Such items are not allowed in your checked baggage.
- Powder like substances 350ml/ 350g /12oz or greater is not allowed in cabin baggage unless listed as an exempted item. Any item exceeding the limit may be placed in checked baggage.
Exempted Items are:
- Medically prescribed powder substances including baby formula and cremated human remains. These items must be properly packed.
- Duty-free items which must be in the packet as purchased
- Electronic cigarettes are allowed to carry on board but strictly prohibited to use.

2.> Can you check in 2 bags with Etihad?
Ans:- You can check in as many bags as you like as long the total weight is within your baggage allowance. If you are flying in Economy to the US or Canada, you can check in two bags weighing up to 23kg each. Excess baggage fees will apply if either bag weighs more than 23kg.
