Emirates is an airline that is based in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. The airline is a subsidiary of The Emirates Group, which is owned by the government of Dubai’s Investment Corporation of Dubai.

Here is new updating news for the passengers who are traveling with this airline need to aware of the scam. The airline warns the passengers that if you get a message on Facebook, Twitter or WhatsApp about Emirates promising free flights, then – be aware because it can be a scam.

A viral message warned all the social media users with the fake messages that Emirates has a new promotion that offers flyers a chance to bag free airfares in time for the airline’s anniversary.

But according to the airline, this is free tickets scam and “We are not giving away tickets,” a spokesperson said on Sunday.

The airline also said, “We are aware that there are posts circulating regarding a ticket giveaway for Emirates’ birthday. This is not an official competition and we advise caution. Genuine competitions are only hosted on our official social media accounts, marked with a blue tick.”

Emirates has not provided any further details about the latest scam, but according to OnlineThreatAlerts, fraudsters are again sending out fake messages, telling Internet users that Emirates is celebrating its 32nd anniversary and distributing two free air tickets to 500 lucky customers.

The fake message is apparently another example of a phishing scam whereby fraudsters trick people into clicking on malicious links to steal personal information, passwords or login credentials.
