KOLKATA AIRPORT INFORMATION
Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose International Airport ( CCU ) is a famous international airport that serves the city of Kolkata in West Bengal. One of the leading and oldest airports in India, it is the aviation capital of eastern and northeastern India. Popularly known as Dum Dum Airport or Kolkata Airport, it was renamed in 1995 after the leading Indian independence leader, Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose. You can easily discover regular flights from this airport to many different cities, including all the metropolitan cities. However, the airport started operations in the early 1990s. The airport primarily served as a prudent stopover on the air route from Europe and North America to Australia and Indochina. The airport has three terminal buildings. Terminal 1 serves domestic passengers by operating various domestic airlines that fly across the country . On the other hand, Terminal 2 is for international flights. Terminal 3 is for cargo. All imports and exports are transferred from this terminal with complete safety and security.
